Auction Finds

If it's Wednesday, I'm at the auction.

It's my favorite day of the week, my happy place.

Take a look at what caught my eye yesterday.

A couple of these things made it back to the barn with me and will be available at my next show.

Which ones?

Stop by The Barn Show next week and find out!

So, which ones do you think I got?

What Caught My Eye?

I had an absolutely fabulous time in Brimfield, MA shopping the spring antique market and can't wait to return for the fall show.

Take a look at what caught my eye:

A Company Man

I spent four days in Brimfield, MA at the spring antique market searching for a truck load of the coolest stuff I could find for my shop, The Kramer Angle, and I definitely accomplished my goal.
But while I was there, I called home one night to see how things were going on the home front.

My husband is an airline pilot, so our kids have lived their entire lives with the cycle of his home/gone schedule,  but I'm rarely away from home without them.
So, I asked Shane, my 15 year old, how things were going and this was his response:

"Well, let's just say
Dad runs "the company"
differently than you do!"

He didn't elaborate and changed the subject.

At the time his diplomacy cracked me up, because I was sure he was really saying things weren't as good as when I'm home.

But later, I found myself pondering the question, wondering who he thinks manages the family better.

I decided it was a question best left unasked!

For my "mama bear" ego's sake!

Brimfield Bound

DSC_0619Have you ever been to Brimfield, MA for one of the antique shows?
It's the largest antique show in the country, with 5,000+ dealers.
(Just thinking about it makes my heart race!)
I have wanted to go for years - long before I became an antique dealer.
(I still don't consider myself an antique dealer; more like a
"purveyor of really cool junk"!)

I'm finally getting my chance this week!
I'm heading out bright and early Monday morning with an empty pick-up truck and I don't plan to come back until it's loaded with the coolest stuff I can find for my shops!

If you've been there before, I'd love to hear
any tips on best dealers, places to eat, the do's and don'ts, etc. of shopping the show!

So, wish me luck - I'll keep you posted along the way!

Busy Barn Girl

It's been another crazy month here in
Kramer Angle World
and I'm still trying to catch up!

I just got back from a quick trip to Ohio to see my brother get inducted into the hall of fame,
(awesome!)
and also to visit my favorite source
for industrial style home decor.

I picked up some amazing hand-blown lighting fixtures, end tables made from salvaged materials, super cool factory baskets and some unique occasional tables.

They're at my shop
The Kramer Angle
at
for this weekend's sale.

I hope to see you there!
